We held our school Platinum Jubilee Celebrations on Thursday, 26^th May 2022. 

The children wore red, white and blue clothes for the day, or dressed up as a King or Queen. During the morning they spent time in their classes learning about the different decades of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign. They looked at the culture of their decade and considered things like, the fashion, music, art and toys of the time.  Year 6 started in the 1950s we progressed through the school finishing in the 2010s with Year R. 

In the afternoon we set up the playground up for our ‘Street Party.’ The whole school came together to enjoy their plates of party food and to share the songs they have been learning to sing at the village celebrations.  The celebratory day finished with each child being given a souvenir Platinum Jubilee bookmark as a momento of this special day from our wonderful PTFA.
