Inspirational teaching

That develops confident, resilient, life-long learners who reach their full potential and make maximum progress

Learning that lasts a lifetime

We are a warm, vibrant village school where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to shine.

Our school sits at the heart of the St Margaret’s community, and we are proud of the strong relationships we build with our families, our village, and one another.

Every day, our children experience a rich, exciting curriculum that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and confidence. We believe that childhood should be joyful, and that learning should inspire children to ask questions, explore ideas, and discover their strengths.

At St Margaret’s, we work together to create a school where:

  • Children feel safe, happy, and included
  • Families feel welcomed and supported
  • Staff feel proud of the difference they make
  • Our community feels connected to the life of the school

We hope our website gives you a sense of who we are and what we value. If you would like to know more, please get in touch — we would love to show you around.

More about our school

That is the biggest thing about the school - there is always a smile for the children waiting for them on arrival, children feel they are wanted, trusted and respected, fostering a positive atmosphere for families.

The sense of pride the children and staff have in the school is shown throughout all they do - nativity,  carol and spring concerts, the vibrant displays of children's work.  Staff hold ambitions for the children high, but do so with a kind heart, encouragement and a smile.

  • Pupils are happy and settled in this friendly village school.  Warm relationships between pupils and adults are built on care and respect.
  • Staff are ambitious for every pupil to succeed.  Barriers to learning are seen as an opportunity to strengthen the provision for all pupils.
  • The school's values of resilience, resourcefulness, respect and tolerance, responsibility and reflection are reinforced at every opportunity.
